Folk Art Decorated Antique Sail Boat Centerboard – a 19th Century wooden centerboard with great curved shape, decorated with later oil painting of a Square Rigged Ship, signed P. Poole. The centerboard is solid with a grand weathered surface and just enough erosion for character, and the painting was done with a heavy encrusted palette to stand out well against the board. A unique and dramatic piece of nautical folk art.
