19th Century Lustre Ware Child’s Mug of the “Industrious Fish Girl”, made in Sunderland, England, circa 1830, a soft paste creamware miniature child’s mug (yes, miniature even for a child’s mug) with a transferware decoration of a young lass with a dip net entitled Industrious Fish Girl and bordered with the pink lustre process invented in Sunderland in 1805. The mug is in great condition with no cracks or hairlines, but two chips to the interior rim. The whimsical decoration is strong and bold.
