Folk Art Hand Carved Large “Nantucket Basket,” a contemporary piece of folk art hand carved in the round from a solid block of wood – a model of a Nantucket Purse with swing handle by Tim Herlocker. Fine detail includes each stave and each individual row of cane weave patiently carved. The top plate features a carved Sperm Whale.
We do not customarily carry new items, but these carvings are so well done that we are happy to present our friend’s fine craftsmanship. They are also available in a smaller size as the handle on a walking stick.
