Antique Grand Banks Dory Fishermen Seascape by Joseph A. Woods, circa 1910, an impressionist oil on panel seascape with two fishermen in dory in the foreground hauling back on their trawl line, the bright red line buoy flashing in the brilliantly colored lively sea, under a cloudy pink sky ominous with an approaching squall. The dory is alone in the broad expanse of the sea, with their schooner far, far off in the haze on the distant horizon. The painting is signed in the lower right, and is mounted in its original carved wooden frame.
