Antique Hand Crafted Iron Crossed Skis Andirons, Circa 1920

Antique Hand Crafted Iron Crossed Skis Andirons, Circa 1920, comprising two cast iron ski tips which have been welded in a crossed position, including hand-crafted steel bindings with spring heel straps, mounted on an iron base with attached log holders to the rear.. A very cool and unique pair of north country cabin andirons – I have never seen another pair.

Note that these andirons were made with two vertical legs supporting the log holders; one andiron retains both, while the other has lost its second, rear leg. The andirons were originally painted black but this paint has of course mostly weathered off over the past century.
