Late 19th Century Folk Art Whimsical Man in a Bowler Hat Whirligig, circa 1900 or earlier, a hand carved and painted figure with applied features, quite the dandy in his red coat with black trim, matching bowler hat with delicate carved and applied wooden brim, black tie on white shirt, black trousers and shoes, with rotating arms holding wind blades. The crazy wonderful face has a carved mouth and eyes with tack pupils, and delightful carved and applied ears and nose. All the whimsy in the world, and more to spare!

The carving and painted surface remain in very good condition, with enough nicks and wear to create a wonderful folk art appeal.
