Early 19th Century Tall Case Clock by James Hogg, from village of Gifford near Edinborough, circa 1820, with fine mahogany case, brass finial on swan neck pediment, tombstone glazed door flanked by reeded columns with brass capitols, revealing a figural painted tole dial with Scotsmen and representatives of all the continents, above long case with blind door flanked by reeded quarter columns, raised on petite bracket feet; with brass movement, brass pendulum and characteristic flattened oval lead weights.

The case is in great condition. The dial is superbly painted and remains in great condition. The movement is in fine working order and ticking away as I type.
