19th Century Set of Ten Sailor Made Scrimshaw Miniature Whaling Tools, circa 1870, mounted in a period shadow. Hand carved whale bone miniature whalecraft tools, accurately portraying a variety of harpoons, lances, spades and cutting-in tools, displayed with period title placard in open shadowbox.

A fantastic set of whaling tools… I have never seen another with such a variety and number. The frame and velvet lined box delightfully shows it age, and remains in very good condition.
