19th Century Sailor’s Folk Art Woolie with Triple Decker Ship of the Line and Sloop, ca 1850, depicting a starboard side view of a majestic square-rigged triple decker warship under weigh (the lowermost gun deck is almost awash), flying the British ensign for the red fleet off the spanker gaff and an admiral’s pennant trailing off the main peak, a small sloop aft in background also flying the red ensign, under creamy sky on a calm blue sea.

The woolwork is in good condition with bold stitching and strong colors, but there is a small amount of moth nibbles mostly along the bottom border, easily covered by a framer’s filet.
